FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Slagle, Lopes and Jones qualify for finals in opening day of Bison Open
 
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Three Mountaineers qualified for finals in their respective events in a solid opening day performance at the Bison Open & Multi hosted by Bucknell University.
 
Freshman Madisen Slagle qualified for finals in the 60m hurdles with her time of 10.00. Slagle bested her prelim time by finishing at 9.91 in the finals for a 13^th place finish. Her finals time was just shy of a PSAC qualifying mark of 9.90.
 
Sophomore Olivia Lopes turned in the second fasted time of the 200m dash prelims at 25.90. Lopes' finish earns her a spot in the 200m finals on Saturday.
 
Freshman Jeysonlee Jones earned a trip to the men's 200m finals with a time of 23.02 in prelims. His time was the ninth fastest in the field.
 
Mansfield track is back in action on day two of the Bison Open on Saturday.
