FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mountaineer Men's Basketball Set to Host Summer Camps & Clinics and Mountaineer College Skills Academy

MANSFIELD – Mansfield University men's basketball is set to host a variety of summer camps & clinics, a high school shootout and the 1st annual Mountaineer College Skills Academy throughout the months of June and July 2013.

All Mansfield men's basketball summer events feature instruction from head coach Rich Miller, assistant coach Will Cabrera and the Mountaineer men's basketball team. Mountie Day Camps, June 17-20 & July 8-11, Grades K-8
The Mountie Day Camps are designed to give young players a fun-filled atmosphere in the sport of basketball. The camps feature individual drills to develop offensive and defensive skills. The campers will learn fundamentals while competing against other campers within their own age group and ability level. Each camper will receive a free Mansfield Basketball Camp T-shirt at the conclusion of camp.

Ultimate Scoring Clinic, June 24-27, Grades 3-12
The Ultimate Scoring Clinic is designed to teach campers techniques to become a more proficient scorer in the game of basketball. Each camper will have instruction on ways to improve his ability to score at all levels. Drills on ball handling, one-on-one moves, shooting technique and individual practice methods will be stressed. Each camper will have an opportunity to compete for shooting and individual offensive awards within their own age and ability levels.

High School Shootout, June 22
The High School Shoot-out is a great way to get your team ready for their summer schedule and a great way to get a jump on the competition going into next season. All teams will be guaranteed three games against similar competition with the third game being the first game of a single elimination tournament.

Mountaineer College Skills Academy, June 15
The Mountaineer College Skills Academy is an excellent opportunity for prospective college student-athletes to experience men's basketball at the NCAA Division II level. The Skills Academy will feature skills stations, individual instruction and several live games. Lunch and a Nike Dri-fit shirt will be provided to all athletes.
